Dodgers’ infield defense strengthens, ‘former RYU colleague’ recruited in super utility trade “will have a good opportunity”

The U.S. ESPN reported on Wednesday (Korea time) that the Dodgers traded with Toronto to recruit Vizio, a super utility man. Toronto put Vizio on hold last week, adding that Toronto has decided to receive right-handed relief pitcher Braden Fisher from the Dodgers. “He has been playing in Triple-A since Double-A this season.”

Toronto Blue Jays placed Vizio on the DFA on Friday and excluded him from the 40-man roster of Major League Baseball players. Vizio hit only 0.200 with two homers and nine RBIs with an OPS of 0.614 in 44 games this season. 토토사이트 추천

Then, why did the Dodgers bring Vizio? It is because of the strengthening of the infield depth.

Vizio has played second base most of his career, but also played first, third and right field this season. He can be called a “super utility man” both at home and abroad. Such experiences will likely give strength to the Dodgers.

Dodgers’ infielders are not performing very well right now. Third baseman Max Muncy is on the injured list due to muscular dystrophy, while existing infielders such as Chris Taylor, Gavin Luxe and Kikke Hernandez are showing sluggish performance in batting.

Taylor has posted a batting average of .100 in 38 games. He played in 51 games and lacked a batting average of 0.277 with one homer and 14 RBIs. Hernandez has posted a batting average of .207 with four homers and 11 RBIs in 51 games.

Vizio has also been weak in offense, but was brought in to reinforce his defense. MLBcom said, “Vizio will have a great opportunity to establish himself as a versatile backup member to back up the lineup.”

Vizio has played for six seasons since being drafted by Toronto in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. He batted .227 with 16 homers, 48 RBIs and 14 steals, with an OPS of 0.725 in 490 games.

Especially, Vizio became famous in the Major League because of his title as Major Leaguer II. His father was Craig Vizio. He hit a career-high batting average of 0.281, 3060 hits and 291 home runs as a star player for Houston. He was considered the best second baseman of his time. He retired in 2007 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015.

However, his son failed to match his father. He never had a season when he broke an egg. After finishing his career in Toronto, he will start anew with the Dodgers. Will Biggio’s twist happen.
