Affinity Gaming issued a statement last week saying there was no evidence that credit card information was being stolen. Company officials said they had taken steps to secure the system and that independent cybersecurity firm Mandiant was investigating the leak.
The announcement came months after Affinity reported other cyberattacks. The company said in December that its card processing system had been infected with malware that compromised customers’ card data. Affinity owns 11 casinos, including five in Nevada, three in Colorado, two in Missouri and one in Iowa.
