- Centre for excellence in gambling research – Sydney University, Australia ($402,500 Grant): With funding from Bali, the project focuses on a responsible gambling program to prevent gambling-related issues. The main goal is to increase the use of responsible gambling tools provided by gambling operators, ultimately promoting healthier gambling practices.
- Research on Youth Sports Betting – University of Washington ($172,500 grant): Youngsters between the ages of 18 and 26 are particularly vulnerable to gambling and other dangerous behaviors. Research supported by this grant will effectively mitigate their risk by providing important insights in tailoring responsible gambling strategies to this age group.
Bali’s additional $450,000 donation aims to improve responsible gambling communication, similar to what addiction treatment guidelines have developed to eliminate stigmatizing language and promote better engagement.
ICRG invites scientists to participate in this initiative and strives to develop concise guidance for operators who will strengthen their responsible gambling workforce and marketing strategies. The ultimate goal is to create a more positive and effective approach to responsible gambling, increasing tool utilization and creating healthy gambling practices.
The exceptional commitment and generosity of Bally’s Corporation greatly impacts the responsible gambling environment and enhances the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure a safer and more responsible gambling environment.
