China finds 37,000 “cross-border gambling” charges in 2022

The ministry detailed that police have detected more than 2,600 online platforms since the beginning of 2022. At the national level, police operations have uncovered more than 1,100 illegal casinos this year, as well as more than 2,500 illegal payment platforms and underground banks.

The ministry added that police targeted cross-border gambling and succeeded in uncovering “19 major incidents” after a three-month search focusing on illegal gambling practices committed in mainland China. But authorities have not said the amount or amount of suspects allegedly involved in these “major events.” 온라인카지노

Macau is the only place in China where casinos and casino gambling have been legalized, but the region is facing another wave of COVID-19 infections hitting one-sixth of Macau’s population, prompting casinos in the country to remain closed or closed due to staff absences caused by the contagious wave.

In a related development, Wong Fai, president of the Macau Leisure Tourism Services Innovation Association, said, “Macao is grappling with a widespread COVID-19 wave that also affects human resources in the hotel sector. Many properties are currently restricting services because they are understaffed.”

The latest shutdown marks another set of restrictions for 2022 in the only Chinese region to allow gambling. Land casino fans had two options: waiting for Macau to open this year, or looking for other places for gambling. Those who choose the latter option are now being prosecuted by authorities for cross-border gambling.
