French company to buy Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker announced Friday that Groupe Bernard Tapie has agreed to buy the property with the online poker room in question. The development comes a day after Full Tilt’s gambling license was revoked by the Alderney Gambling Commission.

In a press release published on PokerStrategycom, Full Tilt said the deal between the company and the French company “includes full repayments from players around the world of Full Tilt Poker.” 바카라사이트

The deal hinges on “a friendly solution with the U.S. Department of Justice,” the release said. The release went to Laurent Taffy, the son of French businessman Bernard Taffy and managing director of the company named after his father.

Bernard Tapie is one of France’s most prominent businessmen. He is best known for purchasing Adidas in 1990. According to a Full Tilt press release, his company has “more than 30 years of experience in rescuing businesses in financial difficulties while remaining profitable by acquiring more than 40 companies.”

Like Full Tilt, Bernard Tapie is controversial. He served six months in prison in 1997 after being convicted of tampering with a football match between Olympique Marseille (the team he owned from 1986-1994) and the Valenciaens. He has also been charged with tax fraud, according to public reports.

“If he didn’t believe in its potential, he wouldn’t have carried out such a project,” Laurent Tapi told iGaming France.
