KT WIZ’s Park Byung-ho, 37, injured his left calf on April 9 against the Hanwha Eagles. The injury didn’t lead to anything serious, such as a muscle tear, but the pain didn’t subside easily. Park has been out of the starting lineup ever since .He wasn’t feeling well. He couldn’t see the defense or run the bases properly. But Byung-ho Park didn’t go down to the disabled list. He wanted to help his team rise. KT manager Lee Kang-cheol suggested rest, but Park insisted on staying with the first team. “I think his mental strength is great,” Lee said. Park played every game with pain. Even though he wasn’t in the starting lineup, he came on as a substitute in every game and put pressure on the opposing team .His mere presence gave the KT squad a huge boost. Park felt a heavy responsibility, but he also felt sorry for himself.
