Lisandro Gets 5th Bracelet From WSOPE

Poker expert Jeffrey Lisandro won his fifth career World Series of Poker individual championship bracelet in London over the weekend. Lisandro, who won the 2009 World Series of Poker award in Las Vegas, won the 5,000-pound (about W5,000) Pot-Limit Omaha Championship in the European Games. Lisandro, a real estate investor originally from Salerno, Italy via Perth, Australia, tied for 12th on the list of all-time poker individual champions, along with Go Stu Ungar, Berry Johnston, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Alan Cunningham, Scottie Nguyen, Ted Forrest and Gary Verland.

The fifth-place finisher in the tournament is 25-year-old John Racer from Fort Leach, Florida, who is one of nine players who returned to Rio to compete in the World Series of Poker $10,000 buy-in Holdham World Championship, which runs from Nov. 6-8. The racer finished fourth in the field for the first prize of $8.9 million.
