Philippine Q2 Casino GGR Up 40% To $824M

The Philippine casino segment generated total gaming revenue of PHP 45.89 billion ($824.2 million) in the three months to June 30, up 40.1% from the previous quarter. The tally was up 144.2% year-on-year. That’s according to the latest quarterly data released this week by the country’s gaming regulator, the Philippine Entertainment Games Company. The organization does not provide comments on the data.

Casino GGR figures exclude revenue from the “e-Sabong” betting business related to bingo operations, electronic game warehouses and chicken fight events offered online. The private sector casino resort in Manila’s entertainment city produced about 80.6% of its total industrial GGR, or PHP 37.01 billion, in the second quarter. This is a 37.6% increase from the previous quarter. The figure is up 152.3% year-on-year.

Clark Freeport Zone’s commercial casino cluster is also on the country’s main island of Luzon, generating 4.75 billion PHP GGR in Q2 from 3.01 billion PHP in the last three months. For the three months ended June 30, Pagcor-operated casinos saw total revenue reach 3.79 billion PHP, up 45.4% from the previous quarter. 메이저 토토사이트

Pagcor-run casino’s second-quarter table game GGR was 1.32 billion PHP, up 63.6% from the previous quarter. Slot GGR rose 28.6% quarter-on-quarter to nearly 2.12 billion PHP. Sequential GGR performance improvements in Q2 2022 are aligned with COVID-related deregulation. Since March 1, Metro Manila has been placed below the lowest level of COVID-19 response, “Boundary Level 1,” which allows the business to be fully operational. PAGCO’s licensing and regulatory group head Daniel Cecilio said last week that he expects the country’s gaming industry revenue to recover to pre-pandemic levels or even overtake those levels by 2026. He said it’s because player confidence is slowly returning to the division.
