Son Heung-min’s admiration for “SON Heirs”…Incredible Cross” to Theater AS

Tottenham Hotspur had a 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the 14th round of the 2023-24 Premier League held at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, the U.K. at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (Korea time). With this success, Tottenham ended its losing streak and ranked fifth with eight wins, three draws and three losses (27 points).

It was a thrilling draw. Tottenham was unilaterally pushed back by Manchester City in the first half and allowed two runs despite Son Heung-min’s first goal, pulling away 1-2. Giovanni Lo Celso scored the equalizer in the second half, but after that, it was heavily defeated by Jack Grealish.

In the 45th minute of the second half, the theater tie broke out. Son Heung-min passed to the left side, and Johnson, who took over, crossed after dribbling. Dejan Kulusevski shook the net with a shoulder shot. It ended in a 3-3 draw.

Son Heung-min told England’s Sky Sports after the match, “I think if we lose a point in the last 10 minutes of 2-2 everyone will give up, but we don’t think we gave up until the final whistle. Johnson performed well and put an incredible cross into the inside of the penalty box. And Kulusevski, who doesn’t usually score header goals, scored. I’m really proud of Johnson. These points will be a great help for the team and players this season.”

England’s “The Boot Room” said, “The Tottenham captain did not spare any special praise for Johnson. He was deeply impressed by Johnson’s assist against Manchester City.”

Johnson was substituted after playing until extra time in the second half of the day. Then, he recorded two key passes, one shot on goal, one tackle, three clearings, five recoveries, four ground fights, and three fouls. Continuing to see opportunities, Johnson saved his team from defeat by making assists. 안전놀이터

Johnson left Nottingham Forest for Tottenham during the transfer window this summer. It cost him a considerable amount of 47.5 million pounds (about 78.5 billion won). It was Tottenham’s “next Son Heung-min,” and signed a five-year long-term contract. Johnson, who started to build up his form, produced one goal and two assists in the last five PL games.

Johnson said in a recent interview, “There are players in Tottenham who have achieved a lot, which opens my eyes and gives me confidence boost. Sonny (a nickname for Son Heung-min) is a really good player and he has done a lot of things, so it’s only a benefit for me. I’m playing as a side striker, but I have a lot to learn from finishing and moving. I’m learning as much as I can right now.” If it continues to grow as it is now, it can be a big asset for Tottenham.
