The Clinsman issue…”Yellow Troubles” in Korea. There’s a scenario for the 3rd round

The South Korean national soccer team, led by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, will play the second Group E match of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup against Jordan at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on the 20th.

Both Korea and Jordan won the first leg and started the tournament in a good mood. Korea won the first leg against Bahrain 3-1 thanks to Hwang In-beom’s first goal and Lee Kang-in’s multi-goal. After the first goal, a fatal mistake allowed the opponent to score the equalizer, but Lee Kang-in scored one after another to lead the team to victory.

Jordan defeated Malaysia 4-0, in the first match. Moussa al-Tamari, Jordanian Son Heung-min, who plays for Montpellier in the French Ligue 1, scored multiple goals to take the lead in Jordan’s attack. Jordan rose to No. 1 in the group, ahead of South Korea in multiple goals.

The second round is actually a showdown that will determine the top spot in the group. South Korea, which has fewer points than Jordan, must win against Jordan in the second round in order to advance to the round of 16 as the group’s No. 1 player. Likewise, Jordan needs to secure a minimum draw against South Korea in the second round to increase its chances of winning the group. It is highly likely that South Korea and Jordan will do their best in the second round, which is why they should.

Ahead of a crucial match, the Klinsman team faced a dilemma. It was because of the yellow card game. Korea had five players who were given yellow card warnings in the match against Bahrain. Captain Son Heung-min, Cho Kyu-sung, Kim Min-jae, Park Yong-woo, and Lee Ki-je will be given yellow card warnings from the first match. If the record of warnings is maintained through the quarterfinals and two more are accumulated, Korea will not be able to play in the next match. Since all players who have been given yellow card warnings are at the core of the team, Korea has to manage the players’ warnings.

If Korea fails to win in the second round, it will put more pressure on the team to play in the third round. If players with yellow cards without rotation play in the third round with warnings in place, the team will inevitably play with the burden of being unable to advance to the round of 16 teams due to accumulated warnings. Players’ physical burden is a bonus.

To avoid such a situation, we need to bring an early win. It is natural for the team leading the game to operate in the desired direction. To do this, we need a fast first goal, an additional goal, and a solid defense to protect the lead.

Jordan is facing Jordan. Jordan is expected to be harder to deal with than Bahrain. Al-Tamara not only has a definite “Ace” but also scored four goals in the match against Malaysia, showing off her firepower. 토토사이트 순위

Of course, Korea lacks nothing compared to Jordan. However, the first half of the last game and the beginning of the second half should not be repeated. South Korea scored the first goal in the 38th minute of the first half after playing a frustrating game against Bahrain, and the defense team mistakenly provided the opponent with a run in the sixth minute of the second half to concede the equalizer. If the same pattern is repeated in the second leg, more difficulties may hit the Klinsman team not only in the third game but also in the future.
