UK raises threshold for economic checks, rumours say

According to a report by NEXT.io , the British government is considering raising the threshold for an affordability check. The outlet discussed it with a person familiar with the matter who said the government would issue a temporary industry code that raised the threshold later this week.

An economic feasibility test is a controversial measure described in the white paper that can trigger an intervention once a gambler overspends. However, some people are concerned that these measures may make responsible gamblers’ hobbies unsustainable and even alienate them from legal markets.

This could have led the government to raise the standard for economic feasibility tests from £2,000 for 90 days to £5,000. Spending more than £25,000 a year is also expected to prompt testing. 에볼루션 바카라사이트

These will be two-step checks that will require customers to upload bank statements or other documents to prove they can afford to gamble. The measures are aimed at preventing gambling damage and gambling-related fraud and ensuring a healthier market. The government’s goal is to stay as non-interference as possible despite claims that it will stop betting.
