Ulsan Hyundai will bring in Johor Baru to turn the mood around

Ulsan will play against Johor Baru in the third Group I match of the 2023/2024 Asian Football Confederation Champions League (ACL) at Munsu Football Stadium at 7 p.m. on the 24th.

Currently, Ulsan has one win, one loss, and three points +1, the same as Johor Baru, but is in third place after one goal behind in multiple goals (3 goals in Ulsan, 4 goals in Johor Baru).

Ulsan won 3-1 against BG Pathum United (Thailand) with Martin Adam’s hat trick at home on the 19th of last month, but unfortunately lost 0-1 in Kawasaki Frontale (Japan) away game on the 3rd of this month.

Starting with the match against Johor Baru, they must have good results in the remaining group stages to advance to the round of 16. 스포츠토토

Ulsan lost 0-1 at the end of the second half in the first K League 1 Final A match against Gwangju FC on the 21st. However, both performance and confidence improved compared to before the A match break. As K League 1 and ACL are different stages, they are determined to win with another power and player composition.

I have a debt to pay. Ulsan was in a group with Johor Baru in the ACL last season, losing both games 1-2. As a result, he missed a ticket to the round of 16 while staying in third place in the group.

Johor Baru is currently the unrivaled No. 1 player in the Malaysian Super League. Berson, a Brazilian national who played for Suwon Samsung in the K League and Busan I-Park in the past, is in charge of the front line. He shook the net in the second group match against Ulsan last season. He has scored 16 goals in 18 league games this season.

Another player to be wary of is Italian striker Fernando Forestieri. He played for Watford and Sheffield Wednesday in the English Premier League. He competed with Park Chu-young, the current Ulsan playing coach, as a starting member when he was at Watford. He is second in overall scoring with 18 goals in 17 league games this season. Ulsan needs a solid defense more than ever. The goal is to continue the momentum until the match against Daegu FC (2:00 p.m. on the 29th), which will be a watershed for winning the K League 1 through a reversal in the Asian stage.
