Women’s U-20 soccer team reaches Asian Cup semifinals…advances to World Cup

The South Korea U-20 women’s national soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the U-20 Asian Cup and booked their place at the World Cup.

South Korea, led by Park Yoon-jung, defeated hosts Uzbekistan 13-0 in a goal-fest in the third match of Group A at the AFC Women’s U-20 Asian Cup at the Zar Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to advance to the semifinals.

In the eight-nation tournament, which features two groups with the top two teams from each group meeting in the quarterfinals, South Korea amassed six points from two wins and one loss in the group stage to reach the semifinals alongside 안전카지노사이트 Group A leaders Australia.

The four winners of the tournament will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia this September, and South Korea also earned a spot at the tournament.

South Korea, who lifted the U-20 Women’s Asian Cup trophy in 2004 and 2013, will be looking to regain the Asian Cup crown for the first time in 11 years.

Park Yoon Jung-ho will face the Group B leader at 5 p.m. on Wednesday for a spot in the final.

Japan leads Group B heading into the final group game on Tuesday, with North Korea in second place.

South Korea scored six goals in the first half to take an early lead.

In the eighth minute, Hong Chae-bin opened the scoring with a right-footed shot from the penalty area in front of the goal, and two minutes later, Yang Eun-seo rattled the net with a left-footed shot.

In the 20th minute, Kim Ji-hyun took advantage of a mistake by the opposing defense to score with a left-footed shot, and two minutes later, Hong Chae-bin completed her multi-goal performance with a left-footed shot.

In the 34th minute, Hong Chae-bin once again found the top center of the goal with her left foot to complete her already hat trick.

In first-half stoppage time, Hwang Da-young put the ball in the top center of the goal to make it 6-0.

South Korea got a multi-goal game in the fourth minute of the second half with Yang Eun-seo, and in the 16th minute of the second half, Hwang Da-young joined the multi-goal parade.

In the 21st minute, Yang Eun-seo rattled the net again with a right-footed shot from the left penalty area to complete her hat trick.

In the 25th minute, Nam Seung-eun split the goal with a header, and in the 29th minute, Kang Eun-young struck from mid-range.

Additional goals by Eom Min-kyung in the 38th minute and Jeon Yoo-kyung in the 44th minute completed the 13-0 goal feast.
